(originally published Feb. 6, 2025) Jim and Tom discuss how a haughty spirit can lead to a fall. Christianity guards against pride and arrogant behavior. The book of Daniel, chapter 4, highlights Nebuchadnezzar being full of pride and seeking praise: Stole and honor the kingdom of Heaven. Nebuchadnezzar eventually changed and sought humility.
(originally published Feb. 2, 2025) This morning’s guest preacher, Daryl Hurst, focused on Proverbs 4, asking the question “When others look at you, do they see God in you?” Daryl illustrated the question by using the 1987 Country song by Paul Overstreet “Seeing My Father in Me” as a verbal example.
