(originally published Jan. 25, 2025)

Jim Lanning led Bible study as we focused on James 1:3-8. This is part of Jim’s lengthy series studying James

This series of lessons was assembled using books we created with permission from World Video Bible School, and using the resources in the Technology Room at the church building.

This evening’s Bible study was special for us at South Main Church of Christ.

One of our members, Collin Nethers, has found his voice and presented his truth about Tourette Disorder. Collin displayed tremendous courage while presenting to our small congregation and deserves love and support with what he goes through.

Helpful link on Tourette Disorder: Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio

The number for Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus is: (614) 722-2000 or toll free (800) 792-8401.

If you or someone you know struggles with Tourette Disorder, the Tourette Association of America is there to help. Their hotline is: (718) 224-2999.

Collin’s speech from our table at the front of the auditorium displayed a characteristic of leadership beyond what some adults in the world display. His speech begins at the 54-minute, 35-second mark in the podcast. His photo and speech are included in this podcast with permission from his grandparents, Steve and Sue Anderson, both members of our church.

We are proud of Collin and we hope he chooses to grow In Christ alongside us.
