McARTHUR, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine announced Tuesday a State of Emergency for 19 Ohio counties as a measure to provide recovery resources from the recent storms.
“We’ve seen significant flooding and damage across several Ohio counties,” said Governor DeWine, in a prepared statement.
In a press release from the Governor’s office, it states, “Counties included in the state of emergency are Athens, Clermont, Gallia, Greene, Highland, Jackson, Logan, Meigs, Mercer, Montgomery, Morgan, Muskingum, Perry, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Van Wert, and Vinton. The proclamation directs all relevant State of Ohio departments and agencies to lend their services, equipment, supplies, and personnel as necessary to assist in the cleanup effort.”
The Governor’s office said the Ohio Emergency Management Agency remains engaged with local first responders.
