COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s office has announced he has written to Pres. Donald J. Trump requesting a Presidential Major Damage Declaration for multiple Ohio counties, including Perry, following the August storms.
Gov. DeWine said it will be critical to the recovery in the twenty-three Ohio counties for the declaration to take place.
“These storms resulted in a disaster of such severity and magnitude that it exceeds the capabilities of the State of Ohio, local governments, and disaster relief organizations to provide comprehensive support,” said Governor DeWine.
